More than 5000 zoological, paleontological and geological specimen are preserved and on show in this tiny room chock-full of waxed wooden display cases, transparent bell jars and sliding drawers. Edouard Abeilhé (1822-1905) a general counsellor of Marciac, spent his life collecting and preserving animals from the Gers and far-off lands. His son donated his remarkable collection to the City.
