Musée municipal de Saint-Antonin
Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val | 82
At the foot of the Roc d’Anglars, nestled within the folds of the Aveyron gorge, Saint-Antonin is proud to own the oldest civic monument in France. This former Town Hall located in the heart of the medieval town in the Market square was built in 1125. Today it is home to the municipal museum.
Founded in 1936 by the Association of Friends of old Saint-Antonin, this museum has grown over the years thanks to the generous donations and work carried out by local archaeologists.
Alongside its collection of Arts and Crafts, the museum displays remarkable collections of local prehistoric geological and paleontological specimens, fossils and insects.
The Museum is currently closed.
