Muséum d’histoire naturelle de Perpignan (Natural History)
Perpignan | 66
The Museum of Natural History in the heart of Perpignan offers an overview of the biodiversity and geodiversity of the Eastern Pyrenees. A wander amongst the display cases is a journey that takes visitors from the coastal ponds to the Pyrenees mountains with a detour through the plains of Roussillon. Wolves, bears and muskrats are just some of the players who take center stage in this natural history production, a setting that sheds light on their habits and their habitats.
Located in a town house called Çagarriga whose construction dates back to the sixteenth century, the museum offers a year-round programme of temporary exhibtions and numerous educational activities that make it a learning experience for all ages.
